There have been a number of films taegetted at to the female audience that didn't completely bomb out. As such, your statement is misleading. Comic fandom entails both male and female and everything between. Historically, the comic fanbase was primarily female.

So many movies featuring only men, and targeted exclusively towards men, have done fine. Similarly, movies targeted exclusively for women, have also done fine. I think you'll find this movie, too, will do just fine.

I didn't see Alita or Tomb raider in cinemas for one very specific reason, and Anna, being a compadre in creative media, will very likely agree. Anime/manga and games ALMOST NEVER translate well into other media formats.

Yep, and let's not forget the misogyny and male gaze that seeps through most of game culture and manga/anime. It's no wonder women don't flock to watch those movies in the same manner they do with movies where female characters are treated as equal to male ones. Go figure.

Male characters "showing everything" aren't made for the female gaze. Shredded comic book men are designed as male power fantasies, and are actually of no interest to most women. Just looking at how these characters are marketed differently for men and women clearly shows that.pic.twitter.com/AjDkEDHOcK

You're choosing to deliberately misinterpret simply to be obstinate. I'm done here.
