I absolutely agree. It's definitely something I wish more people were aware of, cause it's a really shitty ingrained type of language.

Yes, although that's a very different thing. How you choose to refer to yourself is one thing; how everybody else in society continues to refer to you, whether you like it or not, is another. We have a tendency of infantilising women in a way that we don't with men.
