Every time I step into our Japanese hotel bathroom, our toilet greets us by lighting up, flashing a bunch of coloured lights, spraying scented air, making buzzing sounds & heating up the seat in anticipation. It's like a weird pet that's just real excited to see you again...

I felt very disappointed returning to American bathrooms.
Also the place where I stayed had a bathtub that politely announced, throughout the house, when the water was heated or reheated to your chosen setting. I like this future.
