how much space subtitles extend before word wrap takes place, hud elements that conflict against camera placements (for me, it's either side or bottom corners). UI scaling option in the menus is a plus

@v0ndle I feel like you might have some useful tips here -
Biggest thing for me comes with User Interface and customisation. I personally love games where I can completely move around the UI because it lets me have my webcam/overlays/scenes where I want them. When important information is in the corners of the UI its the worst.

Customizability helps a ton. For example, FFXIV gives you a ton of control over how the interface looks.

Not exposing identifying information, such as your username in an online game, or your current location on a map - either of these will mean people trying to find you in the game.

Having toes in both parties, I've tried developing in ways that minimise UI on the games I make, or at least set UI customisability if I ever intend to stream it. I think someone would have mentioned MMOs by now since they have customisable positions for action bars, maps, etc.

Modular elements! Or at least give us a screen with the position of elements so we can prefer Also basic assets so we can adapt overlays in style to seem more natural

Modular would be most optimal but having multiple variations of the hud would already be nice. Kind of like having multiple control schemes for your controller. Maybe theres even ways to set the hud as a twitch extension so its always on top and people can choose what to display.
