I've almost always bought a prepaid mobile data sim in the country, check out if any local carriers have packages for travellers. It will also depend on what bands your phone supports depending on the carrier and destination
-
Yeah I was just hoping to avoid the hassle of having to buy 2 different sim cards for 2 different countries, considering I'm only spending 5 days in each...

When i travelled to America (and also canada) i checked out the airport i landed in if they had a simcard. LAX had a booth/store that sold T mobile sim with unlimited data usage for 3 days, could used same sim in Canada too. Hopefully England airport/local store have the same?
-
Also, before Melbourne airport started big renovations there was a little booth near Hungry Jacks that actually sold a lot of Overseas countries sim cards. It was great, I could buy one at home and instantly switch moment I landed. I haven't seen em in a while, keep an eye out?

heathrow has Three (brand) sims that worked for me in berlin and london for like £30 i think they work all over europe
-
Ooooo that would be ideal! I know
@ThreeUK exists in Sweden too, so that would probably work! - Pokaż odpowiedzi

Vodafone is half that price, to use your same calls/texts/data that you normally use in Australia, and your same number. Still a bit pricy, but I like keeping my number and not having to switch sims.
-
Definitely more practical, agreed. Will look it up, thanks!

You should be able to get a data only sim card for both locations; they're about $40 ish and come with a data limit (I think around 6gb, but you can get higher or lower options) - I got one when I visited the US last year, and one for Japan when I went there a few years back.
-
I was hoping to avoid the hassle of having to buy separate sim cards for both countries, considering I'm only spending 5 days in each... :/ But gonna investigate if getting a card with
@ThreeUK would work in Sweden too! - Pokaż odpowiedzi
