On the tram home at 2am and glance uncomfortably at the dude behind me, aggressively muttering at me, when suddenly a woman in purple hair & a leather jacket flies into the seat across from me and loudly goes, "OMG hi! It's been so long! I haven't seen you in ages! How are you?!"
I'm confused for a second, then quickly realise what's going on, and play along. We happily and loudly chat to each other about tattoos, work and gaming - until the guy realises he's not going to get any attention, loses interest and gets off the tram.
Do guys even know of all the safety measures women have, that we know of & do to take care of each other? Random, unknown women reaching out & protecting each other because we see potentially dangerous/uncomfortable situations & just KNOW to get involved before anything happens?
(After he left, I thanked her, we introduced ourselves and kept chatting until we got to her stop and she got off. Livy/Libby (?), you're awesome. Thank you.
