I didn't wanna do the year recap because I truly believe I had the trashfire most terrible year I could've had. But I don't want to let any of that take away from the good that happened. So here I go I guess.

While it was technically last year, I got to visit my birth country after 6 years of not being there . I spent new year's with my sister, my brother and my nephew who I met for the first time during that trip.

I spent my birthday there too! And it was great because the family surprised me by literally bringing every single family member and old friend I had to celebrate it with me. Even though there was a huge car crash right in front of the house that destroyed my brother's car lmao

Also I got my current job which while it's not the utter best it's comfortable to be in and hey, paying the bills is always good. All this after months of unemployment after I got back from Uruguay.

This year I reconnected with friends I didn't know I needed to reconnect with. Relationships of any kind are hard, and I'm Terrible at absolutely all of the kinds. But hey, old friends yay.

This year also was very tough professionally. Feelings worthless, like I have no place in the industry and nothing to offer was a thought that creeped me from the start of the year. It continues to this day, and let me tell you boy is it hard to fight that off.

Which brings me to GCAP. I went to this year's MIGW with the intention of relinking my fire for game development. Because of my current job and the constantly changing working times (thank you casual employment) I wasn't able to take part in any local game developer activity.
