I used to love this movie until I read this analysis, and was floored. Oh I 100% agree this movie is written from the male gaze. It’s going to take so long for that to shift though. I guess I step back and watch this one for the soundtrack and the surface level entertainment at Christmas time where if we wanted it too everything could be heavy.
