I've seen 4 different women on my Twitter share their latest screenshots of harassment and sexist abuse they've gotten while gaming - in just the past 20 minutes. PSA to men: This happens ALL. THE. TIME. We're just so used to it that we simply block and try to continue our day...
To guys who think we're being overly dramatic, here's an experiment: Create an account with a female sounding name, start playing competitively, and see what happens anytime you make a mistake. Or see how often you get hit on by randos the second you enter lobby. It's exhausting.
This is why I started playing under a neutral sounding name. It sucks that I have to do that and it lends itself to the idea that guys think there aren't women playing in their games. There are. We're just tired of having our gender pointed out to us constantly & used against us.

Horny Men don't like it when you question their masculinity. If you do it well enough, they yell back.
