Some TMI things about healing big colour tattoos: - showering is a weird yoga exercise - im hungry all the time bc my body needs fuel to produce plasma so I can heal. I’ve destroyed every snack at home - sleeping positions are an art form - my leg looks like marinated sealed meat

it sucked SO MUCH. My shirts kept catching on the scabs that formed T_T. No one warns you how gross healing tattoos are

NO ONE DOES! Ppl were genuinely shocked when they saw my thigh pieces & calves heal and look feral for three weeks. I feel like we should talk more about the cool and gross stuff our bodies do during this time so we all can have the best understanding of what tattooing looks like

Wait what?! Why were your tattoos scabbing or looking feral?! What were you doing/not doing? I'm so horrified and want to teach everyone all the things about how easy tattoos are to heal

They should just peel like a sunburn after a few days and be perfect within 2-3 weeks!3 odpowiedzi 0 podanych dalej 4 polubione -

My other looking feral was more, I have a full colour, super detailed snow globe on my thigh and tons of grey, blue and pink plasma under saniderm looked....so....special after two days haha. It wasn’t what people expected

The trick is that you only apply the saniderm/opsite on big colour pieces after about 24 hours, so that all that initial plasma/goop doesn't get stuck underneath and cause it to crust. I'll use regular clingwrap on it the first night, and then wash, dry & apply it the next day!

Yup! Now I’m on the post 24hour period, my first time for the snow globe was a little kerfuffley bc I had never used it before!

Awesome. My other huge tip for applying opsite is to wipe the area around your tattoo (like 2-3 cm away from the edges) with rubbing alcohol to really clean the skin around it. This makes the opsite stick really well for days, despite goop seepage or bendy limb movements!
