    most of the time friends have come out to me as trans it's gone way way way faster than I've expected, it's this tremendous unraveling of the self and refiguring into a new self. It's a pretty wild process. I've heard friends call it ego death

    We can find better terms and frameworks to express our self love and empowerment than trying to rehabilitate the language of medical abuse. I do love me, I love this body, love watching me grow into the person I always wanted to be, love finally feeling sexy. But it's not AGP.

    It's impossible to separate AGP from a legacy of it being used to portray trans women as delusional predators. Cis people *still* make Buffalo Bill jokes today. That this was my only media example other than prostitutes and drag kept me in the closet for decades. No thanks.
