Always found the path dependence that led India to such low home broadband penetration (~10% of households; ~25m) interesting.
Lower than our neighbours Nepal & Bangladesh.
Combo of factors - freq power outages, cheap mobile internet, the app economy, better mobile UI/UX etc.

This is a bit sad though. We need this to grow to drive greater uptake/interest of/in programming at a younger age. Mobile internet is great for consumption, not as much for creation.

creation tools for mobile devices will only get better and I expect a bunch of the younger gen to adopt them
