Been binging @godlessnetflix while sick and even tho its very securely a western, it’s clearly (at least) trying to make space for women and black folks. But it leads me to the following question: does any ‘serious’ western movie or show NOT include rape?

Because I've yet to find a use for this meme ... If they won't play nice, that's when it's time to take your ball and go home.

In the meantime, while you're resting up, I wanted to float a helpful suggestion to you. I don't know if you even read my tweets, but ... I think people just don't understand what it is you want as clearly as you think they do. It's not obvious to them:https://www.darknessfiles.com/single-post/2018/02/01/Make-Feminism-Great-Again …

If you study drama you learn that it is a mirror to the many social ills found in the world. The goal is to hold the mirror up to the world and say "Look, these are you problems". Even Ancient Greek theater expressed the problem of women's rights in a very patriarchal society.

But when all you do is show "how the world is," you reinforce that idea as indelible. "This is just how things are." You have to show change too. You have to show what the world could be like if things were different.
