The political power Israel has is because they are allies with countries like America who support their state sanctioned violence. Even mentioning the barbaric and violent atrocities they commit is unacceptable in many American political and activist circles. Case in point:

please don't do this "israel isn't a country" thing. it's the same type of technical arguments that are used by the "palestine isn't a country" people. the only path to lasting peace is the two-state solution, which doesn't work if you deny the statehood of either party
