Quite disappointed in #SoloAStarWarsStory. I feel like it's by far the weakest of the new Star Wars films. Spoilers ahead.

The story structure was mostly fine but the dialogue was really rough. I understood why Ehrenreich was cast because he was able to nail a lot of the Harrison Ford mannerisms but I don't think he was strong enough to lead the film.

The first main character to die is a black woman (how the hell you gonna kill off Thandie Newton in the first act??) and then they barely acknowledged or grieved her death.

The comic relief is a robot who is basically a mockery of feminism and activist culture.

They try and be surprising by making Enfys Nest, the leader of the pirates a young woman of colour (played by Erin Kellyman who I definitely want to see more of!) but she doesn't really do anything. Han is the one who comes up with and executes the plan to help fund the rebellion

The movie is trying to play with themes of resisting oppression and fighting for justice by showing the origins of the Rebel Alliance and having a droid uprising but it's just sort of wedged in as an awkward side note instead of being a more important plot point.

“The comic relief is a ROBOT.” No, the correct term is “DROID!” What a dismissive and culturally insensitive thing to say. L3-37 would have been greatly offended at that slur. Lucasfilm has been bending over backwards for feminists and SJWs, and yet this is how you repay it?

The problem is if you do an analogy to feminism, it puts feminist identity politics on display & it becomes a parody & mockery.

Was L3 a mockery, or were you more upset that she was a mirror image? Bc L3 was exactly the image you and your ilk project onto others Anita. I mean you're channeling the Droid right now in this twitter thread, and you don't even notice? You're not even aware?

Respectfully, why do you review pop culture if you always seem to hate it? and I think the robot was meant to be an "homage" if you will, to feminism, considering kathleen kennedy is involved?

Your rant about Star Wars (as well as most sjw posts) is practically a parody of feminism and activist culture so there’s no need for anti-sjw’s to bother skewering you.

You've become a satire of your own self and you're not even aware of it. And I agree with you, for all the odd reasons, because this movie is a travesty that actually tries to satisfy people like you and still ends up flat on its face AND IT"S GLORIOUS! You people are pure gold.
