A bris is a ritual circumcision, done to symbolize Abraham's circumcision. It is not a medically necessary procedure, it is rarely performed by a doctor. Mohels are not doing it for hygiene. Millions of men live uncircumcised, it ain't about infection. Maybe you go back, eh?

And because I can predict people picking my wording apart: yes, many doctors perform circumcisions. Not at a bris, in the ceremony it is rarely done by a doctor as a doctor, a mohel with an MD is acting as a mohel and not a doctor in this act.
