It's extraordinary how quickly IDme (which is a for-profit company that raised $200M last year) is getting entrenched at so many layers of civic and social infrastructure, and accelerating the requirement of biometrics.

And they're TERRIBLE at it. I contacted them 5/14/21 because they still have me listed under my old married name and email. They didn't respond until 10/9/21 and closed the inquiry 10/14/21 - when I responded again on 10/14/21, I didn't get a response again until 1/14/22.

Yep. I an a sole practitioner and recently had to log into the IRS to pay my quarterly taxes and it strongly encouraged me to set it up. Couldn’t verify my face scan after 5 attempts, so I spent another 2 hours waiting for a real person to verify my docs. It’s going to be a MESS
