    There's a really great Black Mirror episode about this, by which I mean "deeply unnerving and uncomfortable". It's got Hayley Atwell and Domnhall Gleeson in it.

    Microsoft has filed a patent that would allow the company to digitally revive deceased loved ones as chatbots, using the individual's "images, voice data, social media posts, electronic messages" and more. 💀

    the industry doesn’t really know how to tell stories, and it likes to bring in the writer as a low-pay external contractor after it’s too late to change anything

    still wild to me that the game industry is like "writers are here to dress up the game" rather than going "the game is a story, and all the elements of the game act to serve the story."
