"Attendance to Open Source Leadership Summit is limited to members of The @LinuxFoundation and LF Hosted Projects, as well as media, speakers and sponsors." Apparently only way to be an #OpenSource "leader" now is to be part of LF. Of course they killed individual membership....

that's one event a year that's reserved for the LF project/member community, there are a ton of other events open to all other communitieshttps://events.linuxfoundation.org/

Funny, misson "the premier forum for open source leaders to convene to drive digital transformation with open source technologies and learn how to collaboratively manage the largest shared technology investment of our time" doesn't say anything about an "LF only" policy.

I'll share that feedback with
@angelatlf on updating the copy if it isn't clear enough, but it does state that's it an invite only event, the "open source summit" events across the world are for everyone https://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/open-source-summit-north-america-2018/ …1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Yeah, definitely some internal dissonance in the messaging compared to last year's "anyone in open source business comes to learn and share on topics around governance, and other best practices". Oh well, more travel budget freed up! https://www.regonline.com/register/checkin.aspx?EventId=1883352&MethodId=0&EventSessionId=&startnewreg=1 …
