can you use these effects in normal game modes? if not, thats a bit of a shame, imo especially the effects/sounds, dont see why they need to be tied to this system lol

It's actually the effects/sounds that are bound to heroes already, these are for workshop modes to be able to use them without needing the actual hero to be there. TL:DR, it wouldn't make any real difference on normal modes
