I think there is some strange behaviour around the value that Facing Direction provides for the horizontal axis. I know @tytoalbias encountered this when making the cursor mode, right @tytoalbias ?

This has nothing to do with that. Horizontal speed has always been capped lower than vertical speed when using Start Accelerating, dependent on your current walking speed. This is why the old portal gun script (forget if it was Darwin or Lym) had to set people's move speed to max
