Ireland lacks any esports infrastructure. We had to go up north to @BelongCraigavon (great lads!) to bootcamp for @TeamIrelandOW.

For a country that prides itself on having the "Sillicon docks" of tax-evading tech companies, we are woefully behind all other countries when it comes to having built up esports infrastructure. It's not a matter of "if" - esports is inevitable. It's a matter of "when"

You'd think so, but nope. I don't blame businesses for not opening up, it is a risk especially as Irish culture does not really embrace esports, but someone has to make that first leap.
Would be cool to see eSports develop in Ireland so close to home. I have always wanted to have a major European Halo Lan in Ireland and had fairly advanced plans for this year but COVID got in the way.
