I'm there now, it's certainly busy outside but the open air is much less dangerous than indoors. I don't see a problem other than with choke points on pavements.

Actually the owners of some shops found that foot traffic dropped off by about half, I think the way DCC chose to shut off the street (with a van) was a bit off-putting.
