Getting a crash course in Discord server setup from @hyp3rstrike because he’s a champ. It’s kind of like Slack but so similar-yet-different that Slack has confused me.

i’ve used it with a bunch of other folks servers for other nerdy things, but now trying to set it up myself I know I want to get the basics right out of the gate so it isn’t a mess later.
Whatever you do, disable the @ everyone permission by default. #1 worst thing is forgetting about that and having some troll realise you forgot to turn it off and start spamming notifications to everyone.
