What's the best query in the dotnet org repos on github to get the merged PRs that aren't from a bot? I'm using "is:pr is:merged -author:app/dotnet-maestro". Anything to exclude all bots?

I'll say it - I like YAML for build definitions. I much prefer it to the likes of Cake programatic build scripts of old, as it stops you from doing too much dynamic magic in the build.

Export Template in the Azure Portal seems to provide some nice clean ARM sample output. Was expecting the generated template for Azure API Management to be more complex, but it's relatively approachable.

Tip: Avoid large pull requests. Find ways to break them up into smaller ones. Small PRs can be: * Easier to review. Intent is clearer and mistakes are more obvious * Less likely to conflict with others work * Compatible w/large new features - e.g behind a flag * Not a panacea :)

submitting a GitHub PR? i recommend reviewing your own PR in the web UI. i find it often gives a different enough perspective (from local machine code tooling) that i often catch issues in my own PRs

Am I the only person who uses Rename in folder views just to get a copy-paste friendly version of a file name? Why in most apps in Properties for a file or path is it not selectable?

There's a major push in our organisation to Azure DevOps. Everyone refers to it as "ADO", including in all architecture diagrams. Not confusing at all for a .Net dev. Send help.

After working on a team that works in 1 week sprints, I do not think I can go back to having multi-week sprints. I feel like I get a lot more done in one week sprints than I ever have for other lengths of time. it forces you to really prioritize what you're working on that week.

Kids, don't use .ConfigureAwait(false) in your .NET Core web apps or Azure Functions. No, it doesn't make you look smarter.
