But what does Arye think about this?

Sources tell @TheAthletic that the LA Clippers have made a strong offer to the Brooklyn Nets for Kyrie Irving, and that head coach Tyronn Lue is open to coaching Irving again after the two won a championship with Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

Source: Real Salt Lake reach a verbal agreement with CD America de Cali for Colombian defender Brayan Vera. first reported. Nothing finalized yet, work to do. Vera, 24, is a left back. He's made 31 apps with the club, also spent time in Italy with Lecce and Cosenza.

The Triple Team! 3 thoughts on 1. I thought the players in trade rumors didn't come with much defensive energy tonight. Understandable, but yeah. 2. Walker Kessler was almost too jumpy. (With film.) 3. Lauri Markkanen's drawing lane violations

Jazz lose to Hawks, 115-108. Not a great loss, to be honest... thought that only a couple players had good games. Kessler, Beasley, Vanderbilt, Gay, Olynyk simply weren't very good tonight. Dallas on Monday.

DeAndre Hunter did the Jazz a massive favor by taking that three... but he sank it. Hawks up 115-108, 21 seconds left, that'll do it. It's Hunter's season high tonight: 26 points.

Significant review here... call on the floor is Hawks offensive goaltend, but looked like one of those plays where they whistled it so they could review it. I couldn't tell from up here.

This is probably the most I've seen Trae Young compete defensively, he's been good on that end tonight I think.

Malik Beasley's been really rough on "the little things" tonight... getting backdoored, fouling, boxing out

Collin Sexton's come in and stabilized the Jazz's scoring... he really is just so talented, and love his effort on D. I kinda wonder if the biggest way you could upgrade his impact immediately is by adding some Kyle Lowry-esque grift? Draw some fouls on both ends more often?

Ah, we were wondering! This is huuuuuge for these two orgs, it’ll be a significant part of their revenue this year.

I honestly think about a 2-week suspension for Dillon Brooks is the right move. That was as dirty as it gets.

Lauri Markkanen on watching the All-Star results: "When they announced Paul George, it was kind of a nervewracking moment... I knew the guys that I was competing against for those spots."

Will Hardy on his AS vote: "I can't just, like, scribble down some names. It's hard though. A lot of really good players. We have conversations as a staff about (it), ultimately, I'll break the ties. But it's hard, man. It's hard. You always feel like somebody gets screwed."

Just so people know, a lot of coaches do not care about picking the all-star reserves. I've been in coaches meetings where they spent five minutes putting their selections in. Think about it, they are more locked in on their team and their upcoming opponents. It is what it is.

I am honestly pretty sad about all of Twitter’s changes recently. I had relied on a 3rd party app, no more API access, a timeline full of posts I didn’t sign up for, frequently broken features… I’m thankful for what past Twitter brought to my life, though.

Jazz beat Raptors 131-128. Markkanen finnishes (heh heh heh) with a 28p/13r performance on 7-13 FG. Kessler: 17 points, 14 rebs, 7 blocks. Conley: 19 points, 8 assists, and 2 blocks himself. Jazz play Hawks next on Friday.

Walker Kessler's 17+14+7blk is only 4th time a stat line like that has been put up against the Raptors. Brook Lopez 2011, Dwight Howard 2009, Clarence Weatherspoon 1996. Jermaine O'Neal 2003 and Shawn Bradley 1996 the only players to point-rebound-block triple-double vs Raps.

Jazz up 125-119, 1:06 left. FVV does have the triple-double: 34/12/10. Players on other teams get triple-doubles quite frequently, it turns out. Still, Jazz have hung strong with really balanced scoring in this 4th. Also notable: Agbaji is finishing this game.

Any team that relies on attacking the rim for offense is just going to be in absolute hell when Kessler plays.

Good news: they are giving away new fancy shoes to the Kicks Cam winner now! Bad news: they gave it to a front row kid who already had fancy shoes, boo cc:

I want a reverse Kicks Cam: who's got the most janky kicks in the arena? Then the winner gets new shoes.

It is totally wild that the Jazz are winning a game in which the opposition has taken 27 more FGA and 8 more FTs than them

Jazz up 65-60 on the Raptors at halftime. Jazz are destroying Toronto in halfcourt... 112 ORtg, 86 DRtg. But Toronto's been able to get 36% of their possessions as transition, thanks to 11 Jazz TOVs and some really iffy transition D.
