This is good advice. Screen time before bed or after waking up really is a crappy way to end or start the day.

One of the better changes I made in early 2017 was a consistent “no internet the first hour I’m awake” policy, above and beyond more typical no-phone-by-bed, Focus.app, etc. When sleepy, it’s so easy to allow my goals to be subverted, mind buzzing with trivia.
