I meet many people trying to teach themselves to focus harder.
I'm skeptical. When I'm routinely having trouble focusing, it's often a helpful sign I'm working on the wrong thing, or applying insufficient imagination, & need to shake things up.

What's a good word for the obverse of productivity? The state when you're not focused (not trying to focus), but good things are coming. Maybe "unfocused" is it. Maybe "fertile" or "listening to the muse". Focus and productivity are overrated.

I use “expansive” and “receptive” to describe this feeling.
