Twitter, help me identify this spice! It was introduced to me in a Chiang Mai culinary school, used as part of a spice mixture for laap moo, but they didn’t know an English name. Can’t find it online, haven’t seen it in the US.

Yes, I should have gotten them to write it down its name in Thai, but I didn’t think to!
