I shared this with our designers, thinking I'd look smart, but now they're all asking me what "zero-rated" means and I'm starting to panic.

We have a deal with some international networks s.t. users are not charged (“zero-rated”) for requests to certain URLs.

Thanks! The workshops are mostly hands-on activities… trying to figure out how to help others benefit. These handouts are very lo-fi!

Sounds like a great workshop! Thanks for sharing. Curious about the reasoning behind asking "is there anything like this in other products"

Sure. Say you’re worried about the accessibility implications of a carousel module. You might ask “how do NYT, Inkling, etc deal with this?”

Also: what are you up to these days? It’s been so long!

We did another "outstanding UI" eng workshop about pixel accuracy. I made a more detailed handout: docs.google.com/document/d/18S

This is what got me a lot of projects in the past. When picking between two talented engineers this knowledge could be the deciding factor.
