This is super interesting! Wonder how to un-confound from e.g. “familes which unschool likely to be engaged, supportive, etc.”

Yeah, that's one of the main features of the subset of kids I'd expect this to work for! Also: kid's innate drive/curiosity

But a stronger claim I've heard is: school adds v. little value, so kids might as well do whatever they want. I'm not *sure* that's wrong...
