I do find myself wondering when looking at these kinds of renderings (eg Reswift) if the API could be made more Swift-idiomatic.

Me, too. Hadn’t have time to explore. But specifically Redux relies on JS specifics, e.g. for middleware.

I guess I think "data-driven" is the important part here—more so than either functional or declarative.
I don't disagree, though I think functional/declarative paradigms support data-driven designs simply.
