Great question. JS is super important and this approach just automates writing of that JS in a way that is more optimized

And is compatible with/benefits from JS incrementally improving simultaneously. JS gets faster? Thanks for the boost VM's!

I see it as providing strictly more options, some of which sound lofty (compile to ARM?) but are here and real right now.

at the very least it's a good chance to make the language we're already using for FB language tooling more approachable.
