yeah that is always a risk but at least you have source. I've now repeatedly disassembled UIKit to figure out its buggy behavior…

I do this all the time. And that's on the Blessed Golden Path, so things off that path don't seem worth it.

next step will be to ditch UIKit and just own the rendering stack

biggest thing seems to be matching the OS scroll physics. Maybe could be matched in JS? List after that is pretty short.

Think text and in particular text editing is going to be the most expensive blocker

that's already a huge pain point tho. (Everything async exacerbates). Many things would be much easier if all was in JS.
