How much of that silo reduction is due to the need to smear application state through all layers?

Silo reduction comes from enabling the same devs to build for all platforms

Not trying to be sassy. I wasn’t sure what type of siloing you were referring to.

I was thinking more of apps/teams that are big enough for devs to specialize in UI, model, etc.

This reminds me a bit of the allure of Distributed Objects. ;-)
