Yeah, community context is useful here: the “hello world” of effect frameworks is usually a counter with + and – buttons.

Ah, makes sense. I live deep in the OS stack, I rarely peek up to the level of the Web! (HTML is at version 5 now, you say?)

I feel that. Probably worth noting that structures which manage effects are very useful at OS level too…
