Agreed. Too many people look at the surface level syntax and miss the theory behind the languages.

I went through 61A with SICP. A few years later I read it again and was amazed at its scope. I missed so much the 1st time!

I remember that on my university there was some courses that focused to much on language itself that in the general topics

the best course was the one that we mainly used pseudocode. is when I learnt how to think, not what to write in the computer
