Top tip, don’t check [[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds] because it will still be 1024x768 on an iPad in split screen. Oops.

Lay out your views according to their bounds. To depend on the screen couples view impl with its ancestor chain.

OK sorry. I thought UIWindow's bounds always coincided with UIScreen's.
