I think this speaks to the general understanding that “unlearning” is far harder than learning in the first place.

There’s truth to this, but it cuts both ways. It’s hard to expand your horizons when trying to avoid being burned.

I agree. It's a balancing act. RAC is a big change though. Stuff like BrightFutures or PromiseKit is a good step

Yeah, for sure. The strongest objections I see are not from folks trying out libraries like those.

RAC is also hard to debug, and analyze stack traces because of all the callbacks.

there's some mach facility for adding context to threads that shows up in a crash. uiactivity or something.
