You don't need PureRenderMixin or base PureComponent. Just use a function and Babel class properties.

Think I'm ignorant about some new JS features: what's up with "const { title } =" syntax on last line of second shot?

ES6 destructuring. It's like const title = this.props.title. Const is to disallows reference mutation (sadly, not deep).
