Tess graphs each have a UUID as a cheap form of identity. Is that cheating?

Depends on how/when you make the uuid. If it's on init, you've just recreated ptr equality.

_persistent_ ptr equality 😊 it’s on (convenience) init, but can be passed in arbitrarily.
