I want to construct the minimal convex hull of some n points such that the hull is a regular polygon of degree n. Math friends, pointers? :)

That'll definitely construct *a* such hull, but are we sure it's minimal?

It won't necessarily be a hull either. Consider any non-square rhombus

okay so PostGIS has a minimal convex hull function, but they get to pick the number of points

maybe I'd start by seeing how they did it tho
