I am… less bullish on flux and its event-driven control flow model, but eager to be convinced!

I agree, Flux is a step in the right direction but not quite there… Relay could be amazing, though.

Flux is a huge improvement over event-driven MVC, though. Very predictable, scales well, no cascading events.
