i mean like i want to be able to compile and deploy to iOS 8, which i assume has a million dependencies

oh! Well I was gonna recommend MacPorts but I think I've just concluded supporting iOS is not a thing that is possible

you might need to compile llvm/clang yourself but i don’t see why you couldn’t do this.
