people love to email. But email absolutely sucks as a task management system.

Everyone has an automatic response to file a Radar in response to noticing any defect; people will harangue you if you don't.

It's hard to convey to non-Apple alumni. Most of us miss Radar (and, as you say, mostly the culture around it).

Even getting the basics down is hard: describe the bug to someone with no context, it's a historical record. Verify fixes.
