But e.g. the list monad describes nondeterminism; ((-> r) is a monad. I think the easiest way is to think of it as a kind of composition and to think about the types of return and bind. monads cannot be explained over twitter. it is impossible I think we need a new social network. it'll be like twitter but for explaining monads to each other
