VLC asked me to let it update itself like it does virtually every time I open it, and then that happened

I’ve had that happen a few times. Wondering of this is “closed betas” or malicious redirects or just a bug.

the conclusion was it’s buggy interfacing with the OSX filesystem and to simply try again
