Like in Mail where, on focus, the shadow draws first, then a good .5s pause, then the controls draw focused?

any specific cases where Xcode lags when typing? Windows open, types of files, etc? Just curious so we can focus and fix.

Generally when editing sizable source files, particularly when the assistant editor's up.

one follow-up: do you happen to use a mix of fonts in your highlighting (bold, italic, different fonts for comments, etc)?
