Wow – Mathworks donated a free Matlab license to everyone who signs up for edx.org/course/caltech. It lasts the duration of the course.

Wow! You know, having finished the course at Tech with Matlab and now externally w numpy/scipy, I think I'd prefer the latter…

I'd like to know the python packages. I was pretty impressed with Cendri's use of mathworks.com/help/optim/ug/ though.

and the visualization / debugging / IDE is quite a bit better than, well, anything I use.
