but the bottom dial seems right? I think now I just don't know anything about fancy watch dials

Yes the hand at 12 on main is stopwatch and the seconds for the time is on the bottom dial.

Yeah, the XOR effect is gorgeous. Being able to manually seek is also quite addictive :-)
